Target Performance
[PROGRESSIVE GRIP PERFORMANCE]
New multi-compound technology from MotoGP named "3LC" (3 Layer Compound) for the front and "5LC" (5 Layer Compound) for the rear delivers the grip performance demanded in every aspect-braking, maximum side grip in cornering, and strong traction at the exit of a corner.
[SPORTY HANDLING]
The 3LC/5LC with new tread pattern on optimal profile and construction provides linear and sporty handling for a range of sport bikes.
[SURE CONTACT FEEL]
The new approach for BT-016 with Quality Engineering contributes to the richer feedback and more secure contact feel in all conditions.
[STABILITY (high and low speed)]
The steel MS-BELT construction applied to front and rear tires absorbs sudden input from bumps and offers high stability and excellent line-holding in corners.
[MILEAGE]
The 3LC/5LC provides regular wear, while optimized pattern design provides much longer wear life than the ex-sport tire (BT-014) in any riding mode.
[LESS NOISE]
The new pattern design achieves a noticeable reduction in tread noise.
Technical Features
Front:
• 3LC (3 Layer Compound) provides grip performance demanded in every aspect and all riding modes. The center compound offers linear handling. The shoulder compound secures high grip and solid contact feeling.
• Parallel S shaped grooves give optimal cornering force to improve stability, linear handling and absorption. Groove location across tread center secures rich contact feeling and stable wet performance.
Rear:
• 5LC (5 Layer Compound) offers ideal grip performance demanded in every riding mode and aspect. The center compound offers good stability. The shoulder compound transfers the engine power to the road with strong traction. The edge compound offers strong side grip and solid contact feeling in deep lean angles.
• L shaped grooves enhance shock absorption and rear-end steering. Groove location not across tread center area provides both wet performance and strong traction. High speed durability is also maximized.

Technical Features
[Compound]
•Compound is one of the breakthrough technologies derived from Bridgestone Moto GP involvements, which simultaneously realize the both of high grip and light handling.
[Profile]
•Battlax BT-014 profiles were tuned by 3D CTDM simulation to achieve quick handling and strong cornering performances by securing the optimum contact pressures in all lean angles.
[Construction]
•Bridgestone applied the patented High Tensile Super Penetrated Cord on Mono Spiral construction. The effective material enhances cornering grip power, without sacrificing high high-speed stability and shock absorption.
Narrow Ply Construction
The revolutionary narrow ply construction gives superior cornering grip, optimum rigidity for quicker handling, and high speed straightway stability. This unique construction is used for the first time in Bridgestone Battlax BT-014.
Cap-and-Base Construction
The underlying layer controls tread stiffness as well as providing reinforcement and shock absorption. The grip-enhancing compound on top contains silica for all weather performance, tire life, and superb cornering grip.
Outside Bead Filler
In addition to the conventional inner bead filler, Battlax BT-014 employs the Outside Bead Filler. The New Generation Outside Bead Filler realizes the ideal sidewall profile analyzed by finite element method by giving optimum force distribution and rigidity balance.
HTSPC MONO-SPIRAL BELT (High Tensile Super Penetrated Cord)
Bridgestone is the first manufacturer to adapt 1X5 filament, rubber insulated steel MSB to Motorcycles radial tires. The latest technology gives following advantages to motorcycle tire; allows more flexibility than other types of the steel used by competitors, reduces heat generation, and provides stability without deteriorating shock absorption.
[Pattern]
•The directional diagonal grooves improve handling linearity by uniform deformation, and center S-curve cross grooves offer light handling, stability, and shock absorption.

Technical Features
[Compound]
•BATTLAX BT-92 compound is balanced to give good dry grip, high speed stability, wear life, and wet performance. DTC technology in rear tire provides both tire life and cornering grip.
[Pattern]
•The high-angled groove in the center tread gives wet performance in straightway and high speed cruising, and the low-angled groove for wet performance in low-mid speed range. The center straight groove in front tire is for straightway stability.

•The large, single crown radius for stability and linear cornering performance.
