Since 2014 when we took the M.A.R.I Initiative outside of St Vincents and made other hospitals aware of our service a lot has changed.

We have developed a strategy that delivers a FREE service to all that ask for our help.

With the addition of the Bush Fires and the COVID-19 we had to tweak our service even further than before.

As we lost the ability to visit patients in hospital to discuss how we maybe able to help them or their family.

Back late last year 2021 we contacted the NSW Health Ministers office to talk with Mr Hazard. I explained what we did as a registered non for profit to assist Hospitals and Patients to keep the cost down as we are a FREE service.

Open to all Riders and now Car drivers in a similar situation needing assistance or guidance after being involved in an accident.

Mr Hazard asked asked Glenn Sisson, Manager of the Institute of Trauma and Injury Management (ITIM) to assist. Glenn was a huge help by contacting all the Hospitals in NSW and informing the Social Work staff of our service and e-mailing them a list of frequently asked questions on how we may assist a patient when asked to.

This year on the 1st August 20222 we will be doing a loop of Northern New South Wales and the majority of Queensland.

This trip should take around 31days in total.

The first Hospital we will be contacting is Moree.

We have had requests for assistance in the Moree area since 2015.

So we will be renewing our support with them at that time.

Late this year we hope to conduct talks with Hospitals south of the Central Coast New South Wales and Into Victoria too.
