The Dr Wings Bike Force Team relies on donations to enable them to continue assisting motorcyclists that have been involved in an accident.

For some years now we have been involved with several groups that have contributed to helping M.A.R.I as a charity. Some of these businesses and groups are, Motorcycle Council of NSW, Safe Motorcycle Roads Committee in the Hunter. We have had the privilege to host many events on their behalf. Rides from Sydney to the Hunter and Sydney to the Central Coast. The two boxes below are active when we are hosting a ride. Supporters Clothing is available year round.

Around the 15th of September each year, the BMW Touring Club of NSW holds the

              FCR (Far Cairn Rally) with all proceeds going to M.A.R.I Australia Inc.

This event is held at the Tottenham Racecourse. Entry is just $25.00 a head, This includes a Free Camp Site, Entry, A Bacon and Egg Roll with Tea or Coffee plus a badge to say you were there. Yes all this for twenty Five Dollars. Also to commemorate this attendance, you can also purchase a quality "T" Shirt if you wish. Cost $25.00 It would pay and get your order in early so you can have it on the day. The rally has b een held since 2007 for over 10 years now.

 

                                         

The Fair Cairn is the Geographical centre of NSW approximately 550 K,s from the Coast   and Sydney. Grazing and Cotton Country.

M.A.R.I Rider Care Rally~2017

“Riders HELPING Riders”

was held on

(On Saturday the 23rd September)

Our ride was very special in three ways:

1. It raised valuable support dollars to help the charity,
2. It made more riders and their families aware of what the M.A.R.I Initiative does, for those that have been involved in an accident.
3. It gave other riders the opportunity to put their hands up, to get involved in some way in their own area of where they live

 

                                         

                           DR Wings Bike Force "Ride Throughout Australia" The Event was to raise much needed funds and awareness for M.A.R.I the (Motor Cycle Accident Rehabilitation Initiative)

    After a very successful event in 2012 into 2013, we commenced the 2014 Ride on 26th April 2014. 

   The trip stared in Sydney and ran over a grueling 12,500 + kilometers, our motor cyclists trekked over Australia passing through four states and one territory over six and a half weeks, returning home to the Central Coast on around the 15th June 2014.

    Since this we have completed our Queensland leg from Moree to Cairns and stopping at Hospitals all the way down the coast line to the Gold Coast NSW border.

    Further to that we now how a major chunk of NSW from Albury/Wodonga back to Tamworth involved as well as in Sydney it self.

     A big thanks to all our sponsors and supporters for all the trips so far.

Since 2016, we have continued to keep in touch with all of the contacts that we have made during this time. These contacts have enabled us to assist riders and their family members from Townsville to Melbourne. Even on the odd occasion in Perth Western Australia.

About Us

              The "DR Wings Bike Force" are based on the Central Coast and in Sydney. The Initiative was formed from members of the MARI team based at St Vincent's Hospital Darlinghurst Sydney.The team consists of members from the Sydney Motorcycle Club, BMW Touring Club of NSW also Members of the Ulysses Club & lastly the Committee For Safer Motorcycle Routes in the Hunter. Some of them have been involved first hand with motor cycle accidents and know exactly what a patient is going through or has cared for one who has been there before. All this knowledge helps others to adapt and get moving again quicker in both mind and body.
